New England Marine And Industrial

We sell high quality, hard to find products at very competitive prices. We are committed to our customer’s satisfaction. We carry the best products that world-wide fishing industries have to offer.

Formerly known as New England Fishing Gear; New England Marine and Industrial (NEMI) originated on Badgers Island, Maine, as a small fishing gear store. The majority of our customers were commercial fishermen, lobster men and trap builders. Gradually, more products and a larger variety of product lines were added to our inventory.

In 1984, the business was moved to Portsmouth, NH. The business has grown to be a leader in the commercial fishing industry on the northeast coast, as well as supplying products to new industrial markets.

Twenty years later, we have three locations and a vast inventory; which includes rope, fiberglass products, chain, lobster, tuna and safety gear. We have trucks on the road, delivering product to valued customers from the Canadian border to Long Island. NEMI also wholesales to other companies.

Our gillnet webbing is from the Far East and our Polyform and Scanmarin buoys come from Norway, as well as stainless steel jigs; to name a few.
